SiteCanvas (“SiteCanvas”, “we”, “us”) is a website builder and content management service operated by Webonized LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using SiteCanvas you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored securely, hashed), and any profile details you provide.
- Content you create — the websites, pages, calendars, events, bookings, form submissions, images, and other content you add to SiteCanvas.
- Usage and technical data — log data, device/browser information, and basic analytics needed to operate and secure the service.
- Payment information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card details; Stripe handles that as a PCI-compliant processor.
- Google Calendar data (only if you connect it) — see the dedicated section below.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide and operate SiteCanvas: to create and publish your websites, deliver the features you use, communicate with you about your account, process payments, prevent abuse, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.
Google services integration (Limited Use disclosure)
SiteCanvas offers optional integrations with Google Calendar, Google Photos, and YouTube. Each is used only if you choose to connect it, and each requests read-only access. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Across all three integrations, we do not sell or transfer your Google data to third parties; we do not use it for advertising; and we do not use it to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models. SiteCanvas uses third-party AI services to generate and edit websites at your request; data obtained from Google APIs (calendar events, photos, video data) is programmatically excluded from the content sent to those AI services. Human access is limited to what is strictly necessary to operate, secure, or debug the feature, or as required by law. You can disconnect any integration at any time from your SiteCanvas dashboard; when you disconnect, we revoke our access at Google and delete the stored Google credential.
Google Calendar
- What we access. Read-only access, using Google's
most granular scopes: the names of your calendars
(
calendar.calendarlist.readonly) so you can pick one, and the events of the single calendar you choose (calendar.events.readonly), plus your email address (to show you which Google account is connected). We deliberately do not request broader calendar access, and we never request write access — we cannot create, edit, or delete events in your Google Calendar. - How we use it. We import your calendar events solely to display them on the website you build with SiteCanvas, as a read-only calendar. That is the only purpose.
- Storage. Imported event details (title, description, date, time) are stored in our database so your published site can show them. Your Google refresh token is encrypted at rest and never shown to you or anyone else.
Google Photos
- What we access. Read-only access limited to the
photos and videos you personally select in Google’s own Photos Picker
(
photospicker.mediaitems.readonly) plus your email address. We never see your full photo library — only the specific items you pick — and we cannot modify or delete anything in your Google Photos. - How we use it. We import the photos you select into your SiteCanvas Photos library so you can use them on the sites you build. That is the only purpose.
- Storage. Selected images are copied into your SiteCanvas media storage. Your Google refresh token is encrypted at rest; temporary Google image URLs are never persisted.
YouTube
- What we access. Read-only access to your own
YouTube channel’s video list (
youtube.readonly) plus your email address. We only read the titles, thumbnails, and IDs of videos on your channel so you can pick one to embed. We never modify, upload to, or delete anything on your channel. - How we use it. We show your channel’s videos so you can select one to embed on the website you build with SiteCanvas. The video plays via YouTube’s own embedded player; we do not download or re-host your video content.
- Storage. We cache your video list (titles/thumbnails/IDs) briefly to avoid repeated calls. Your Google refresh token is encrypted at rest and never shown to you or anyone else. YouTube’s use of any data it collects through its embedded player is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Sharing of information
We share information only with service providers that help us run SiteCanvas (such as our hosting, storage, email, and payment providers), and only as needed to provide the service. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of SiteCanvas, our users, or the public. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete content, disconnect integrations, or delete your account at any time; we delete the associated data accordingly, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption of sensitive credentials at rest and encrypted connections (HTTPS) in transit. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
Children’s privacy
SiteCanvas is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate.
